A retreat needs a page that feels like the retreat: quiet, unhurried, and honest about what it’s for. Template site builders push urgency and pop-ups, and the people this is for are grieving. It also needed to take a real reservation with a participation agreement, not a link to a form product.
An editorial single page in warm paper tones with serif display type and photography in framed figures. The copy walks through the invitation and the three-day arc, then a reservation flow with the participation agreement attached. A small Express service with MongoDB takes the registrations, so there’s no third-party form in the middle and nothing for a reader to be tracked by.
